ANVIL: THE STORY OF ANVIL

This is the trailer for my buddy, Sacha Gervasi's, award-winning rock doc, Anvil: The Story of Anvil. Anvil documentary and Anvil tour arriving in the spring. Movie Site: www.anvilmovie.com. And look for Anvil to turn up somewhere in season two of SOA.

Might the nearly naked gent on the right have fallen pray to the same pranksters who left Juice baby-dolled up?

That's almost too scary to comprehend. I guess we'll have to tune into find out. ;)

Thank you for the Anvil download. Could't pick the link up with my 'old' Mac (2004 version) but now can see the trailer on your blog. Really look forward to seeing their movie. Hope it makes it here. Love to see guys old as me (as the hills) still rocking away. Met Bill Graham & Jimi Hendrix, saw Jefferson Airplane & Janis Joplin. And now get to be introduced to Anvil.

Blue Oyster Cult would be a nice fit for the show (assuming they haven't already been on.) Golden Age of Leather, Transmaniacon MC, This Ain't the Summer of Love ... take your pick.

And lead singer Eric Bloom is a fan of The Shield.

Kurt,

Thanks for the info on the Anvil film. As a displaced ex-headbanging Canuck myself, who saw Anvil open for many bands touring through Western Canada, you can bet I'll be at the first available LA Screening!

You must feel like a prophet. Just read two articles (New Yorker and Newsweek) on this documentary. Of course, there are the expected references to "This is Spinal Tap". But both articles/reviews are very complimentary of this documentary. Still hope the film makes it here.
Thanks for the advance "heads-up".

Good for Mr. Gervasi:
one more bit on "Anvil:the Story of Anvil": On NPR, Talk of the Nation" 04/23/2009: Music Anvil: Decades Of Chasing The Rock Star Dream

25 years ago, the heavy metal band Anvil was red hot. Decades later and with no record contracts or platinum albums, the band still dreams of hitting it big. Anvil's short rise and long fall is the subject of a documentary, Anvil! The Story of Anvil.

Did Anvil in fact show up somewhere in season 2? If so, please point me to which episode! :-)
